Adult and Children's Braces
for Patients in Fayetteville, Hope Mills, NC & Beyond

Village Orthodontics can fit both pediatric and adult braces for patients in Fayetteville, Hope Mills, Spring Lake, Raeford, Lumberton, Fort Bragg, Sanford, Parkton, NC, and the surrounding communities. The purpose of braces is to move teeth into proper position using constant, gentle pressure for a period of time. They contain three main parts: the brackets, the arch wire, and the elastics. It is extremely important to change the elastics each day and wear them all the time. Otherwise, the right amount of pressure will not be applied, and the treatment plan will be affected. In addition to braces, we also offer clear aligners that hide the look of traditional metal braces.

If you believe adult or children's braces may be the right fit for correcting your or your child's teeth, we encourage you to contact us today and schedule a free consultation! Our orthodontists and staff would be happy to go over your options and develop a plan that best suits your needs.

The Types of Braces

For pediatric and adolescent patients, traditional metal braces remain the most popular type. You can personalize them with colorful ligature ties. But with technological advancements, even traditional metal braces are much smaller than they used to be.

Among adult patients, clear ceramic braces are the most popular choice. Unless you’re standing directly in front of someone, it’s difficult to tell you’re wearing them. However, since they are made using ceramic materials, they are not as durable as traditional metal braces are.
