Retainers
for Patients in Fayetteville, Hope Mills, NC & Beyond

Retainers are typically used following treatment with braces. They are meant to help keep your teeth in their new locations until the surrounding bone, gums, and tissue can adapt their shape.

Please remember to wear your retainer as directed. Failure to do so could result in your teeth reverting back to their original positions, completely defeating the purpose of the braces.

Recommendations & Safety Notices

The amount of time you will need to wear your retainer depends on the individual case and the recommendation of your dentist. Some patients will need a longer period of time, and in rare cases, a retainer may have to be worn for the rest of your life.

Never place your retainer in your pocket. When not wearing it, place it in the proper retainer tray so that it doesn’t become lost or damaged. Always follow the instructions of your doctor or dentist.

After eating and drinking, make sure to brush your teeth and clean your retainer using a toothbrush.

Always handle your retainer with care, as they can get lost easily. If you take them out to eat or brush, be sure to place them in the container.
